I love the flavor and the fact that the pieces aren't so thick as some that we get in the stores. But this order had a couple packages where it was mostly crumbs. I felt like I was taking a pinch of tobacco! lol

I tried this carne seca first, then tried a bunch of other brands I could get locally. They were nothing like as good as this. The 4 stars instead of 5 is because in every round I've bought this flavor in particular, there is fat that is not dry enough to chew, which is fairly creepy and a waste when there's only a few ounces of eating material to begin with. The other flavor I got is leaner and has not had that problem so far. The flavor balance on both that I have had are outstanding. I'm a former chef and can't have salt or spice often anymore due to health issues (or beef, for that matter). This must be of a very high quality because although my body is not eating it every day, it knows exactly when it needs it and it does make me feel notably better at those times. The salt must be of a high quality too because even as a person who instantly gets arthritic anymore with sodium hikes, I don't react that way to this product. I don't know if that will last - I'm only a few months in to incorporating it into my diet. But I'm thankful I could come across such an outstanding product.
